With their new website The Chemical Heritage Foundation intended to serve the community of the chemical and molecular sciences as well as the wider public by “treasuring the past, educating the present, and inspiring the future”. My proposed site design encourages the curious with revealing rollover actions and stimulating icons. The use of classic typography and layout was geared towards the site’s historic character but also allows for a clean, almost non-web like display of information.
